Plain and simple language is a must for web development. While a good portion of websites focus on design and interaction, they are not as important as content. My professor always says, “content is king”, and that is no exaggeration. When someone goes to a page, they should be able to find their information and understand it easily.
Using plain language shortens the length of a page. Viewers want there to be the proper amount of content, but if there are too many unnecessarily long and excessive words, viewers might not give the page a chance.
In the end it all comes down to the viewer staying on the page and absorbing the content you post. Easy to understand content is necessary for this, and plain language accomplishes this.
