Plain Language in Engineering

Plain language is very important in the field of engineering. Engineering projects typically involve plenty of technical jargon, and high level vocabulary terms that can make documents difficult to interpret, especially to someone without a background in engineering. When trying to communicate with audiences such as customers or marketers, it is very important to be cautious with the language that you use.

The ability to take a technical idea and rephrase it so that it can be easily understood by all audiences is an important skill to have, which can be very valuable when creating engineering documents for a broad audience.
